PURPOSE: A control device for a hybrid vehicle is provided to reduce a switching frequency to a third traveling mode that is the heating element of a second connection element in an oscillation. CONSTITUTION: A first clutch(CL1) is interposed between an engine(Eng) and a motor(MG) and connects or disconnects the engine and the motor. A second clutch(CL2) is interposed between the motor and a driving wheel and connects or disconnects the motor and the driving wheel. A traveling mode switching unit switches the traveling mode according to a traveling status. A temperature sensor(18) senses the temperature of the second connection element.
