PURPOSE: A light emitting device, a manufacturing method thereof, and a light emitting device package are provided to uniformly form fluorescent materials around the light emitting device by forming a barrier around the light emitting device. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting device chip(200) is formed on a sub mount(100). A barrier(310) is formed on the light emitting device chip. An encapsulating material(400) including the fluorescent materials is formed on the light emitting device chip. The barrier is formed on the upper side of the light emitting device.
