PURPOSE: An electronic sound(horn and engine sound) generation device and a method are provided to output engine noise to a driver, a pedestrian, and other vehicles according to situation. CONSTITUTION: A power supply unit supplies power to each configuration unit. A switch(2) generates a signal for controlling a system. A MIDI chip(40) converts an acoustic content. A converter(50) changes a digital sound signal outputted from the MIDI chip into an analog signal. A noise filter(60) removes an unnecessary signal or noises among the signal outputted from the converter. A speaker(3) outputs the signal passing through the noise filter as a voice. A memory stores sound source data.
