PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the color reproducibility of an image which is based on the photographed image. SOLUTION: Image data D2 based on the photographed image is obtained, a condition for light source in imaging is determined, based on a subject luminance Bv obtained from information I1, representing an imaging condition, and white balance of image data D2 is adjusted, based on the determined condition of the light source and color information I4 of a pixel P1 in the image data D2. The condition for the light source in imaging is determined as an outdoor light source, when the subject luminance Bv is relatively high or as an indoor light source, when it is relatively low; and a color to be converted into an achromatic color may be selected from colors including a more bluish color, with respect to the case that the condition of the light source is determined as an outdoor light source, when the determined condition of the light source is an indoor light source.
