PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminance-detecting device, a lighting system, illuminance detecting method and lighting method for solving the problem in conventional types, wherein any illuminance-detecting position cannot be established for various positions by changing the detection direction, because the illuminance sensor is fixed. SOLUTION: The illuminance-detecting device includes the illuminance sensor for locally detecting illuminance and a mobile mechanism which can operate the illuminance sensor so as to make these positions detected locally by the illuminance sensor variable, and it is possible to establish the illuminance detecting position for various positions and to enable local detection of illuminance in a desired region.
