PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect domestic waste cooking oil without imposing a burden on a homemaker by applying a method for treating the waste cooking oil usually applied by the homemaker doing housework for solving a problem wherein the collection of the waste cooking oil used domestically is carried out in fewer cases since only a small amount of oil is discharged from an individual house is little, and compulsory collection is difficult. SOLUTION: This collecting method uses the method for making the waste cooking oil absorbed into an absorption pad generally performed as the method for doing away with the waste cooking oil used domestically, namely, an absorber 3 is immersed in a container such as a used deep fryer, and the absorber 3 is made to absorb the waste cooking oils 1, 2.
