PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a completely mounted state of an attaching/detaching unit on a body of equipment. SOLUTION: An ink jet printer has a paper feeding cassette 10, and a support tray 90 provided in the body of equipment. In the paper feeding cassette 10, first and second projections 84 and 85 are formed. The support tray 90 has an engaging member 94 and a toggle switch 96 provided in the engaging member 94. The first projection 84 and the engaging member 94 constitute a lock mechanism 14, while the second projection 85 and the toggle switch 96 constitute a detection mechanism 13. Both of the lock mechanism 14 and the detection mechanism 13 are arranged in close positions. When the paper feeding cassette 10 is mounted in the support tray 90, the engaging member 94 locks the first projection 84, and the toggle switch 96 detects the second projection 85.
