PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety and maintenance by solving the problem of a conventional chain saw that chips accumulate therein. SOLUTION: The chain saw having a chain with a cutting blade attached to a sprocket, the sprocket being rotated by a driving part, and designed to cut wood or the like by rotating the chain around a guide bar is configured such that a centrifugal fan is disposed in the pedestal part of the sprocket for rotating the chain is integrated with the sprocket. Thus, the centrigual fan rotates integrally with the rotation of the sprocket, air thereby generated is rotated in the chain saw body, and cut powders are discharged from the frame bottom of the chain saw.
