PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposal device for efficiently generating methane gas from garbage and using the methane gas and at the same time continuously operable with scarcely discharging troublesome substances such as sludge, residues, or the like. SOLUTION: The garbage disposal device 1 includes a stirring tank 4 for stirring and solubilizing garbage; a methane fermentation tank 6 for introducing the liquefied garbage liquefied in the stirring tank 4 and carrying out methane fermentation; and at least two pairs of digestion tanks 7a and 7b for digesting organic matter in the liquefied garbage by microorganism after the treatment in the methane fermentation tank 6 and is enabled to continuously carry out the treatment of the liquefied garbage by alternately using the digestion tanks 7a and 7b.
