PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic lightweight heat insulating container excellent in heat-insulating properties. SOLUTION: The heat insulating container 10 includes a plastic exterior container 11 having an upper opening 11a, a plastic interior container 12 disposed within the exterior container 11 having the upper opening 11a, and a plastic lid 13 provided at the upper opening 11a of the exterior container 11. The exterior container 11 includes a foam layer 14 in a part. With such constructions, the heat insulating container 10 is made to be lightweight and to have excellent heat-insulating properties.
