PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator whose shaft tube need not be made thicker even with an increase in the number of core members with the core members hardly jamming the shaft tube interior on their contact with one another. SOLUTION: The writing utensil 1 has the shaft tube 6, a plurality of core members 7, 8, an operation means 9, a perforated member 29 and an energizing means 14. In the perforated member 29, holes are formed, into which each of the core members 7, 8 can be individually inserted. The energizing means 14 is arranged at the leading end side from the perforated member 29.
