PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building capable of configuring a floor plan mostly suitable for the life style of the purchaser while considering the strength of the building. SOLUTION: A lower story component 10 of generally T-shape in plan view is disposed further on the inner side than the outer periphery of a lower story part 1. The lower story component 10 includes a center hall 12 positioned at a location surrounded by a plurality of wall lines 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d which indicate the positions at which a partition wall 11 is provided and a plurality of room spaces 13, 14, 15 which respectively project from the center hall 12 in the extending directions of the plurality of wall lines 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d. One room space 13 among the plurality of room spaces 13, 14, 15 forms an entrance room, and one room space 14 forms a stairway room. Consequently, a room can be disposed in the lower story part of the building so as to meet the request of the purchaser while securing a sufficient load bearing force by a bearing wall.
