<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article heater that would allow making of a packing material with desirable water permeability through relatively simple work and use of a heating element having exothermic characteristics appropriate for article heating (initial rise of the temperature, or the raised temperature/raised temperature continuation period). <P>SOLUTION: The heating element 1 for use in the article heater comprises a bag body 10 of packing material having water permeability obtained by bonding together a nonwoven fabric 11 and a perforated resin film 13 with the use of a reactive hot melt adhesive 12 and, enclosed in the bag body 10, an exothermic agent 20 composed of 40 to 70 wt.% aluminum powder and 5 to 40 wt.% hydrated lime powder and/or 5 to 40 wt.% burnt lime powder. The perforated resin film 13 has at least 40,000 holes/m<SP>2</SP>, exhibiting an opening ratio of 1 to 7%. The reactive hot melt adhesive 12 is coated in an amount of 3 to 9 g/m<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
