<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and a projector capable of suppressing the degradation of images. <P>SOLUTION: The control device 5 controls a display device (liquid crystal panel) 442 (442R, 442G, 442B) constituted of plurality of pixels and provided with an image forming area for forming the image corresponding to inputted image information, and includes a memory means 6 for storing input/output characteristics, which are measured beforehand in a plurality of parts of the image forming area and for which an applied voltage value and emission luminance are related, corresponding to the plurality of parts respectively, and a control means 7 for controlling the drive of the image forming area on the basis of the respective input/output characteristics.
