PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor system and a data collection method for the same which, when one sensor detects a failure, measure environment change in other sensors in detail. SOLUTION: The sensor system includes: a plurality of sensors S1 to S9; a plurality of radio relay stations R1 to R4 for receiving measurement values to be transmitted from the sensors S1 to S9; and a base station B for receiving a measurement value to be transmitted from the radio relay stations R1 to R4. The sensor S1 is provided with a function for, when the measurement values fall within a failure value range, transmitting a measurement value or an abnormal state signal before the transmission time of the next measurement value comes, and when receiving the measurement value which has fallen in the abnormal value range or the abnormal state signal, the radio relay station R1 transmits setting change data to change normal measurement interval and normal transmission interval to shorter abnormal measurement interval and abnormal transmission interval to the sensors S1 to S3 under control. When receiving setting change data, the sensors S1 to S3 perform measurement and transmission based on the abnormal measurement interval and the abnormal transmission interval.
