Provided is an electronic device comprising a fan unit (40) capable of setting an air blowing direction toward either the side of a predetermined interface plate (11a) of a casing (10) or the side of a back plate (11b) facing the interface plate (11a), a power source unit (60), first housing portions (16a1 and 16a2) enabled to house the power source unit (60) and disposed at positions close to the back plate (11b) in the casing (10), second housing portions (16b1 and 16b2) enabled to house the power source unit (60) and disposed at positions close to the interface plate (11a) in the casing (10), a CPU (24) for detecting the air blowing direction of the fan unit (40) and the housed position of the power source unit (60), and LEDs (19a and 19b) operated by the CPU (24) to warn in case the blowing direction of the fan unit (40) is not on that side of the casing (10), which houses the power source unit (60).
