<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device having high degree of sensing accuracy and high degree of durability, an image forming apparatus and a toner level control method. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a developer carrier 52Y to carry a toner; a toner supply member 53Y to supply developer to the developer carrier 52Y; a developing chamber 51Y having the developer carrier 52Y and the toner supply member 53Y; a splash-up member 51aY to form splash-up toner flow by making the toner in the developing chamber 51Y flow; and a sensing means 150Y which is disposed in the developing chamber 51Y to sense a toner level and the toner flow splashed up by the splash-up member 51aY. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
