<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To successively perform a non-flash shot and a flash shot, having appropriate exposure settings. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 10 is provided with a special successive shooting mode, wherein a non-flash shot without emission of flash lamp 13 and a flash shot with a flash light emission which is synchronous with the release. When a release button 16 is depressed halfway, the exposure condition is determined from AF processing performed in an AE detection circuit 54; and when the release button 16 is fully depressed, shootings are successively performed with the same exposure value or an exposure value according to flash shot or non-flash shot, based on the determined exposure condition.
