<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start reproduction from the whole of a non-degraded image when performing seek operation in streaming reproduction. <P>SOLUTION: In an image supply method, a seek operation is received, and a reproduction point of a desired seek destination is acquired. A search area including the reproduction point is determined, and a key frame is searched from the search area (S705). Then, if a key frame is detected from the search area, the position of a key frame which is the closest to the desired reproduction point, is determined as a seek destination reproduction point (S709).
