摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the illuminance difference of light reaching a medium from each irradiation means in an area on the medium. <P>SOLUTION: A light quantity adjustment unit reads a signal output from an imaging part (step Sa1), and detects illuminance in a predetermined part (detection areas Ca, Cb and Cc) of the taken image (imaging range B) (step Sa2). The illuminances in the three detection areas Ca, Cb, and Cc are compared to specify an irradiating unit located distant from the medium 50 of irradiation units 80A-80C (step Sa3). The luminance of the specified irradiation unit 80A is adjusted so that the illuminance of light reaching the medium 50 from the irradiation unit 80A is close to the illuminance of light reaching the medium 50 from the irradiation units 80B and 80C (step Sa4).
