摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make both compatible in restraining the occurrence of a shock in a vehicle by a misfire and improving fuel consumption. SOLUTION: Control of an internal combustion engine includes an exhaust gas recirculating pipe for recirculating exhaust gas to the downstream side more than the throttle valve of an intake system when decelerating a vehicle and an exhaust gas recirculating control device having an exhaust gas recirculating control valve for adjusting a flow rate in this exhaust gas recirculating pipe, and performs a fuel cut after gradually delaying the ignition timing for a predetermined period when a predetermined fuel cut condition is realized. When a recirculating quantity of exhaust gas exceeds a predetermined value, control is performed for gently delaying the ignition timing as compared with a case where the recirculating quantity of exhaust gas is less than the predetermined value.
