PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stay ring for a hydraulic machine of taking into consideration even a role as a strength member of a stay vane, by improving performance by reducing a collision loss in an inlet side end part of the stay vane and a discharge loss in an outlet side end part. SOLUTION: This stay ring 10 includes an annular upper plate 11, an annular lower plate 12 oppositely arranged to the upper plate 11 under the upper plate 11, and a plurality of stay vanes 13 arranged in the peripheral direction between the upper plate 11 and the lower plate 12. The respective stay vanes 13 are fixed to the upper plate 11 and the lower plate 12. An inlet piece 21 for covering an inlet side end part 13a to a water flow, is arranged in the inlet side end part 13a of the respective stay vanes 13. An outlet piece 31 for covering an outlet side end part 13b to the water flow, is also arranged in the outlet side end part 13b of the respective stay vanes 13.
