PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding wire rewinding method capable of efficiently controlling tension of a welding wire on an inlet side and an outlet side. SOLUTION: In this welding wire rewinding method, the welding wire 5 delivered from a bobbin 3 is wound around a fixed side roller 12 and a moving side roller 13 of a dancer roller device 11, and subsequently the welding wire 5 is wound on a spool 7 having a smaller diameter than that of the bobbin 3. An inlet side wire catcher 21 and an outlet side wire catcher 22 for holding the traveling welding wire 5 are provided in the vicinity of the inlet side and the vicinity of the outlet side of the welding wire 5, respectively, in the dancer roller device 11. By operations of the wire catchers 21 and 22, tension of the welding wire 5 on the inlet side and the outlet side is controlled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
