PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an evaporator from being frosted even when one of the two fans is stopped. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner 10 for the vehicle, in the state that an upstream side of an air passage 14 is partitioned into right and left parts by left/right independent switching damper 52, air blown from a right side fan 30 is passed through a right side passage 14R and is blown into a cabin after it is interfered with the right side portion 38R of the evaporator 38 and air blown from a left side fan 32 is passed through a left side passage 14L and is blown into the cabin after it is interfered with a left side portion 38L of the evaporator 38. Whereas, in the state that a left side air-blowing port 36 is closed by the left/right independent switching damper 52, the air blown from the right side fan 30 is passed through the right side passage 14R and the left side passage 14L and is blown into the cabin after it is interfered with both the right side portion 38R and the left side portion 38L of the evaporator 38.
