The device has a set of segment-shaped calibrating tools (10a-10f) arranged at a distance to each other over a circumference of a pipe to be calibrated for forming a set of circular arrangements. The individual tools of two consecutive arrangements are arranged at a distance to each other in a peripheral direction. The tools extending in the peripheral direction are formed as a hollow body and have slots (17) in an area of sliding surfaces (16) that are attached to the pipe circumference, where the slots are connected with a cavity in the hollow body.
