<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device that obtains light having an superior cross-sectional shape. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device 1000 includes a substrate 100 divided into a first region 100a and a second region 100b, a first cladding layer 104 prepared above the substrate 100 of the first region 100a, an active layer 106 prepared on the upper side of the first cladding layer 104, which has a light emitting surface at least on one side, a second cladding layer 108 prepared above the active layer 106, and a light separator 130 on an upper side of the substrate 100 of the second region 100b, which is arranged on the optical path of the light emitted from the light emitting surface, wherein the light 10 emitted from the light emitting surface is separated by the light separator 130 into a reflection 12 reflected by the light separator 130 and a transmitted light 14 passing through the light separator 130. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
