<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication technology by which a transmission capacity is increased, and the intervals of wavelengths is set in accordance with a system. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmission apparatus 1 transmits a light multiplexed by a multiplexing unit 3 while varying the intervals of wavelengths of lights transmitted from a plurality of transmission units 2 by a wavelength interval processing unit 5. The wavelength interval processing unit 5 controls intervals of adjacent wavelengths of lights transmitted from transmission units 2 based upon information reported from an optical reception apparatus 6 having received the light transmitted from the optical transmission apparatus 1. The optical transmission apparatus 1 arranges the wavelengths at intervals narrower than the intervals of wavelengths recommended by ITU-T in a band of a good transmission quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
