<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and method therefor that can complete a selecting operation for an editing kind and an operation for editing contents through a substantially single operation without specially performing the operation to select the editing kind. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus that edits an image displayed on a display unit 46 in accordance with user's operations displays the image to be edited as a preview on the display unit 46, recognizes an editing operation corresponding to a user's touch on the display unit and a locus of a tracing operation following the touch in response to the touch and tracing operation, displays an image after editing on the display unit corresponding to the recognized editing operation, and makes a plurality of combinations of touches and loci of traces and a plurality of kinds of editing correspond to each other to discriminate an editing kind and editing contents of an editing operation based upon a user's touch and a locus of a trace. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
