<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate initialization of a position relationship on the driving part side and working part side of a medical manipulator. <P>SOLUTION: When a working part 11 is mounted anew, respective counters 45b-47b are reset to "0" corresponding to the original positions. When the working part 11 is mounted again during one surgery, the count values of the respective counters 45b-47b stored in a reset memory 49 when separated last time are read and set respectively.
