<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PET supporting apparatus easily mounted for an examinee and allowing the examinee to freely move as much as possible by reducing restraint on the examinee. <P>SOLUTION: This PET supporting apparatus includes a plurality of PET detectors 11 in a ring body 13 and supports a ring PET detector 10 for housing the head of the examinee in a ring hollow 14. This PET supporting apparatus is equipped with support means 20, 21, and 22 for supporting a balance support bar 40 on a fulcrum. The PET detector 10 is supported substantially horizontally by a horizontal balance system wherein the PET detector 10 and a weight 50 for horizontal holding are brought to an equilibrium state by supporting support shafts 12 by the support bar 40 at one end thereof, the support shafts 12 passing through the center of the PET detector 10 and horizontally supporting the PET detector 10, while supporting a weight 50 for horizontal holding by the support bar 40 at the other end thereof.
