<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a transflective liquid crystal display device which can be manufactured by a simplified method and includes excellent display performance. <P>SOLUTION: In a color filter substrate including a substrate and a color filter layer provided on the substrate, the color filter layer includes many display pixels of two or more colors, and a liquid crystal fixed layer formed as a continuous film made of the same material is provided under the color filter layer, and the liquid crystal fixed layer includes an optically anisotropic sub-region and an optically isotropic sub-region by region facing respective color pixels of the color filter layer, wherein the optically anisotropic sub-region includes a larger film thickness than the optically isotropic sub-region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
