PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave-shielding filter which is arranged on the front surface of a display such as a CRT or PDP to shield electromagnetic waves generated from the display, and in which black and white dotted defects, linear defects or rectangular defects hardly occur on a metal pattern surface, or irregularity of blackening is not viewed thereon, and visibility of a display image is good. SOLUTION: In this electromagnetic wave-shielding filter formed by laminating, on a transparent base material, at least an adhesive layer and a metal pattern layer in this order, the metal pattern layer is composed of a layer structure where a blackening layer or blackening layers is/are laminated on one surface of a copper layer either on the transparent base material side or on the side opposite thereto, or both the surfaces thereof; the blackening layer is formed by forming a first coloring layer formed of copper, cobalt and zinc and a second coloring layer formed of nickel, cobalt and molybdenum on the copper layer in that order; and brightness of the blackening layer surface, chromaticity thereof, and variations in line widths of linear portions constituting the metal pattern layer are 20-40 on L* axis, 0-10 on each of a* and b* axes, and≤2.0μm, respectively; or variations in L* value of the blackening layer surface is≤0.5.
