PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portrait creating system easily and effectively selecting similar templates prepared for each part of a photograph of a face. SOLUTION: A control server 40, upon receiving image data 91 from a client terminal 10, provides an image recognition server 60 with the image data, and acquires feature point data 93. The control server 40 then carries out template matching for selecting templates of high similarity for each part in the face image of the image data 91 based on the feature point data 93, and obtains template IDs for identifying the selected templates. The template IDs thus obtained are provided as part information 92 to the client terminal 10. The client terminal 10 creates portrait data using the part information 92.
