The device (2) has a control unit (22) comprising a computer, a storage, an input unit, an output and control signals and connected with a display (6). A high voltage output unit is provided for connection of a flock test adapter (54), and a unit is provided for starting a flock test. The control unit is arranged for executing the flock test with the flock test adapter and displays measured values. The flock test adapter is designed as a jumping test adapter. The input unit is designed as a push-button, and a high voltage generator (32) and a flock applicator (50) are provided in the device.
