The invention relates to a control valve (10) for a motor vehicle engine cooling system, said valve (10) including at least one inlet (12) for a fluid entering the valve (10) and at least two outlets (14; 16) for the fluid leaving the valve (10). According to the invention, the valve (10) includes at least two safety devices (20-A, 20-B) capable of short-circuiting each of the outlets (14; 16), respectively, in the event of a valve (10) malfunction. The invention also relates to a cooling system including such a valve. The invention is suitable for use in the automotive field.
