摘要 <p>Provided is a heat source system wherein the overall efficiency of the heat source system can be enhanced by appropriately selecting the number of cooling towers to be actuated. A heat source system comprises turbo refrigerating machines, a cooling water pump, cooling towers, cooling tower fans, a cold water pump, and a control unit therefor, wherein a plurality of cooling towers are provided to have the cooling tower capacity corresponding to the total rated capacities of the turbo refrigerating machines and connected in common with the plurality of turbo refrigerating machines. An optimal relation of cooling tower capacity indicating the relation of cooling tower capacity for high efficiency of the heat source system is prepared in advance while taking account of the turbo refrigerating machines, the cooling water pump, the cooling tower fans, and the cold water pump in the relation of the ambient air wet-bulb temperature and the partial load factor of turbo refrigerating machines, and then the number of cooling towers to be operated is determined based on the ambient air wet-bulb temperature and the partial load factor of turbo refrigerating machines during operation with reference to the optimal relation of cooling tower capacity.</p>
