PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element of long drive life which contains a layer formed by a wet-type film forming method using a composition containing an aromatic amine polymer, an electron accepting compound, and an organic solvent. SOLUTION: The composition for a charge transportation film containing an aromatic amine polymer, an electron accepting compound, and an organic solvent satisfies an equation (1) I<SB>s</SB>/D≥0.9×10<SP>3</SP>(where, I<SB>s</SB>represents an absorbance of absorption maximum at wavelength of 450-600 nm of the solute contained in the composition for charge transportation film, and D represents a total solid content concentration of the composition for charge transportation film at the time of I<SB>s</SB>measurement).
