<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform suitable protection according to the physique and portion of an occupant. <P>SOLUTION: In an air bag 11, an inner gas chamber 36 is provided on a part at an inner side of an outer gas chamber 35. The inner gas chamber 36 is opposed to head parts A1, B1 of the occupants A, B and is arranged on a central upper part at the occupant A, B side of the outer gas chamber 35. An internal pressure P2 of the inner gas chamber 36 is made smaller than an internal pressure P1 of the outer gas chamber 35. In the case of the small size occupants A, the head part A1 is received by the inner gas chamber 36 and a body part is firmly received by the outer gas chamber 35. In the case of the large size occupant B, the head part A2 is received by reaction force at two stages of the inner gas chamber 36 and the outer gas chamber 35, and a shoulder part is firmly received by the outer gas chamber 35 at both sides of the inner gas chamber 36. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
