PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding device capable of highly accurately and elaborately obtaining a shape close to a product shape within a short molding time, and a molding method thereof. SOLUTION: The molding device 10 presses a molding target object 22 between an upper punch 12 and a lower punch 13 in a mortar 11 to mold it by using a mold including the upper punch 12 and the lower punch 13 and the cylndrical mortar 11 into which the upper punch 12 and the lower punch 13 are inserted from up and down. The molding device 10 includes a mechanism for forming an area 11a different in temperature in a part of the mortar 11, and a moving mechanism for moving the molding target object 22 molded in this area to another area 11c of the mortar 11. By the moving mechanism for moving the molding target object 22 from the high-temperature area to the low-temperature area of the mortar 11, heating and cooling periods of time of the molding target object 22 are reduced.
