PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of increasing a performance effect, and a game machine. SOLUTION: The image display device 7 includes: an LCD unit 71; three frame-like members 8 provided with a pair of extension parts 8A extended in a prescribed direction along the display surface 71A of the LCD unit 71 and provided on the display surface 71A adjacently in a direction orthogonal to the prescribed direction; a reflection member 74 provided between the extension parts 8A, inclined to the display surface 71A and provided with two reflection surfaces 741 for reflecting light toward a direction opposite to the normal direction of the display surface 71A to the extension parts 8A respectively; and a driving means for sliding the respective frame-like members 8 along the prescribed direction. Further, an opening 81 is formed on the side of the reflection member 74 in the extension part 8A, and a prescribed image is displayed in the display area 71A1 of a display surface 71A present at a position separated from the reflection surface 741 inside the opening 81. Then, an optical path from the reflection surface 741 to the prescribed image is long compared to an optical path from the reflection surface 741 to the display surface 71A.
