PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for simply and quickly measuring the number of microorganisms (bacteria) in the oral cavity so as to arrange a proper treatment environment dealing with bacteria. SOLUTION: The microorganism number-measuring apparatus includes a container 6 for holding a specimen, a liquid 11 stored in the container 6, a first and a second measurement electrodes 3A and 3B arranged under water surface of the liquid 11 in the container 6. The distance between the first measurement electrode 3A and a counter electrode is made smaller than the distance between the second measurement electrode 3B and the counter electrode, a measurement part 4 is connected to the first and the second measurement electrodes 3A and 3B and a constitution ratio calculation part 30 for calculating the constitution ratio of a first material to be tested and a second material to be tested having a diameter smaller than that of the first material to be tested from the measured value of the material to be tested in the first measurement electrode 3A and the measured value of the material to be tested in the second measurement electrode 3B is connected to the measurement part 4.
