PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a rise of an acceptance ratio of the other unnecessary people even if coping with differences of an imaging condition in registering and collating. SOLUTION: A face image collating device 10 registers an input face image of which the similarity with an amount of a characteristic of an initial registration face image is larger than a collation threshold for the initial registration face image and smaller than a predetermined additional registration threshold as a reference face image, and sets up a collation threshold larger than the collation threshold for the initial registration face image as the collation threshold for the additional registration face image used in performing the collation of the additional registration face image registered additionally as a reference face image with the input face image.
