The present invention provides a composition for treating keratin fibres, and especially human keratin fibres such as the hair, which comprises, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, one or more alkanolamines, one or more amino acids and one or more associative polymers. The present invention likewise provides methods of bleaching and/or colouring keratin fibres, and also multiple-compartment devices or kits for the implementation of these methods.
