<p>A metering gate for liquid metal flow control (1010, 2010, 3010) with reduced clogging with a top plate (1030, 2030, 3030), having a first flow channel bore (1032, 2032, 3032) with an inlet having an inlet axis (1033, 2033, 3033) and an outlet (1038) having an outlet axis (1035, 2035, 3035). A throttle plate (1040, 2040, 3040) is movably mounted on the top plate (1030, 2030, 3030) and adapted for selectable receiving flow from the top plate (1030, 2030, 3030). The inlet axis (1033, 2033, 3033) and the outlet axis (1035, 2035, 3035) are offset. The method of metal flow control in continuous casting is described too.</p> |
