PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game medium counting device for storing many Pachinko balls and accelerating the payout speed of the stored Pachinko balls. SOLUTION: The game medium counting device 1A includes: an excess ball tank 6 for storing Pachinko balls B; a ball storage part 3 for returning or lending out the Pachinko balls B stored in the excess ball tank 6 to a player; a conveyor belt 7 disposed, in a tensioned condition, around a plurality of pulleys 71 rotated by a prescribed driving means, for capturing the Pachinko balls B from an excess ball feed port 62 to the space partitioned by a plurality of conveying projections 70 provided on the outer peripheral surface and conveying them to the ball storage part 3; and an excess ball capturing part 73 formed by the conveyor belt 7 at a part disposed facing the excess ball feed port 62, for capturing the Pachinko balls B.
