PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket connector that allows a user to confirm performance of an electronic component to be mounted without soldering the electronic component, sufficiently ensures reliability, and is composed of a simple structure. SOLUTION: The socket connector includes: a housing 2 formed with a plurality of holes 2c penetrating through from an upper face 2a to a bottom face 2b of the housing; and each female terminal 4 formed into a cylindrical shape so as to be electrically connected with each connection terminal 14 of an electronic component by the insertion of each connection terminal 14 of the electronic component, and also insertingly provided in each hole 2c while protruding its tip to the side of the bottom face 2b of the housing 2. Each female terminal 4 is formed to have such a length that the tip of the connection terminal 14 of the electronic component protrudes when the connection terminal 14 of the electronic component is inserted thereinto.
