<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a crystal-oriented ceramic which has both a high degree of orientation and a high density, and exhibits an excellent piezoelectric characteristic, and to provide an anisotropic-shape powder to manufacture the crystal-oriented ceramic. <P>SOLUTION: The anisotropic-shape powder is obtained by treatment with an acid and heating of a precursor 1, and is composed of oriented particles whose crystal plane ä100} is oriented. The crystal-oriented ceramic is obtained by using the anisotropic-shape powder. The anisotropic-shape powder is obtained as follows. First, a bismuth layered perovskite-type compound in a predetermined composition is a target composition of the precursor 1, and a raw material mixture is fabricated by mixing raw materials in a formulation proportion different from the target composition. Then, the precursor 1 is synthesized by heating the raw material mixture. The anisotropic-shape powder is obtained by subjecting the precursor 1 to a treatment with an acid for ≥3 hours to obtain an acid-treated body, adding a K source and/or a Na source to the acid-treated body, and heating the acid-treated body in a flux. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
