<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer storage device and an image forming apparatus, which prevent scattering of a developer by erroneously opening an opening part when removing the developer storage device from a housing. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming unit 21Y is provided with: a device body 210 attached to and detached from the housing of the image forming apparatus; an exhaust port 25d connected to an introduction opening 521a of a conveying tube when mounting the device body 210 to the housing; recesses 211b provided on the circumference of an exhaust port 25d; an exhaust side shutter 212 having projections 212b and for opening the exhaust port 25d when being mounted on the housing; an exhaust side spring 215 for biasing the exhaust side shutter 212 in a direction of blocking the exhaust port 25d and a rotation direction in which the projections 212b approaches to the recesses 211b; and a releasing surface 212c for rotating the exhaust side shutter 212 to the rotation direction in which the projections 212b are separated from the recesses 211b when being mounted on the housing and releasing an engaged state of the projections 212b and the recesses 211b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
