摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a uniform distance between a pair of substrates configuring a liquid crystal device for instance, to reduce pressing marks and to reduce air bubbles which can be generated in the liquid crystal display device caused by temperature change. SOLUTION: A spacer (61) is formed on the surface of a first part (11A) overlapping with a non-opening region (S2a) of a base layer (11). A spacer (62) is disposed on the surface of a second part (11B) overlapping with a non-opening region (S2b) of the base layer (11). The position of the surface of the first part (11A) and the position of the surface of the second part (11B) are mutually arranged along the thickness direction of a TFT array substrate (10). The height (a), that is the position, of the upper surface of the spacer (61) with the surface of the part (11C) overlapping with an opening region (S1) of the base layer (11) as a reference is lower than the height (b) of the upper surface of the spacer (62).
