PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-line waste solution treatment device, capable of prolonging the life of a trapping agent, and also capable of suppressing the deterioration of a solvent. SOLUTION: The on-line waste solution treatment device 12 for a liquid chromatograph 10 is configured such that a sample is injected in a mobile phase solvent and a sample component is separated in a separation column and equipped with a flow channel changeover valve for changing over the flow channel of the waste solution flowing out of the separation column to a drain flow channel 26 and a trap column flow channel 28, the trap column 32 connected to the trap column flow channel 28 to trap the sample component in the waste solution and a solvent storage tank 14 which recovers the mobile phase solvent flowing out of the trap column 32. The waste solution flow channel is connected to the drain flow channel when the sample dissolving solvent and much impurity compound contained in the sample flow out and changed over to the trap column flow channel after the sample dissolving solvent flows out.
